Take a 2-hour old Lyon cultural and historical guided walking tour in English. After seeing the giant street murals take the funicular and ride up the Fourviere Hill. You will have the best panoramic view over the city and the impressive Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourviere.

Bordeaux ~ Day 13

Perhaps the most famous wine region in the world, Bordeaux, includes around 6,000 wineries and over 110,000 hectares of vineyards. Every second, they sell 20 bottles of Bordeaux wine worldwide, the most planted variety being Merlot. The 2,000-year-old city hides beautiful gems like Cité du Vin Museum, Place de la Bourse and Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux.

Arcachon ~ Biarritz ~ Day 14

Visit Arcachon and the famous sand Dune of Pilat. This runs alongside the shore and reaches a height of up to 110 m above the sea level. Once arrived in Biarritz take a stroll in the Parc du Phare from the Phare de Biarritz to Rocher de la Vierge. The Phare de Biarritz is a tall historic lighthouse dating since 1834. Raised on a rocky cliff, it offers sweeping town and ocean views. Rock formation located in Bay of Biscay, Rocher de la Vierge has a statue of Virgin Mary on top. It also offers dramatic views. Between these two, make a stop at the Point de vue de l’Impératrice, another great scenic spot.

Next morning, visit the Marche aux Halles de Biaritz. This covered and cheerful fresh food marketplace is full of small shops for charcuterie, cheese, seafood and more.

Toulouse ~ Day 15 & 16

Known as La Ville Rose (‘The Pink City’) due to its many terra-cotta bricks sed in many of its buildings. Its 17th-century Canal du Midi links Garonne River to Mediterranean Sea. You can travel it by boat, bike or on foot.
Visit of Basilique Saint-Sernin de Toulouse, UNESCO world heritage site and pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella. This medieval basilica is the largest surviving Romanesque church in Europe. Visit Le Capitole, the city hall and Teatro del Capitolio de Toulouse, the Opera House. Then go to Marché Victor Hugo, one of the most attractive local fresh food markets. Next stop is Pont Neuf, a stone road bridge with 7 arches completed in the 17th century. Visit of the Musée Saint-Raymond, a medieval building for antiquities museum with Roman sculptures, interesting local archaeological finds. Finally, reach Toulouse outskirts for a memorable visit of the Old Wings Toulouse / Ailes Anciennes Toulouse and Musee Aeroscopia. These aircraft museums include two Concordes, an Airbus A400, a Caravelle, a Mig-15 and a historic aircraft. Nearby: Airbus factory tours. Visit the A380 assembly line… but only from behind glass on a viewing area !

Visit Pont du Gard, UNESCO site, a mighty aqueduct bridge. This rises over 3 well-preserved arched tiers and dates since the 1st century when Romans built it. City tour of Orange.
